Jason Lochhead

CTO/SVP, Research & Development

Jason Lochhead joined Cyxtera in 2017 and leads the team that is designing and building the Cyxtera Digital Exchange platform. Prior to joining Cyxtera, Lochhead worked at VMware, where he served in leadership roles including Chief Technologist for VMware Cloud Foundation, VMware’s large scale hyperconverged computing solution, and Chief Architect of the company’s vCloud Air infrastructure-as-a-service offering.

Before VMware, Lochhead was CTO at Terremark, where he led the design and development of the company’s Enterprise Cloud service offering. He was formerly co-founder and CTO of Data Return, where he provided overall technology direction for the company and lead product development efforts in researching and implementing new technologies, including the company’s Infinistructure utility computing platform.
