Hybrid IT, Connectivity in Data Centers

Cyxtera and 451 Research, Senior Analyst of Data Center Networking, Craig Matsumoto go in-depth into Software-Programmable Interconnection (SPI) in a Q&A session on Interconnection Priorities for Hybrid IT.

Craig defines SPI as a way to abstract away location. IT is distributed in so many places, that SPI takes away the distance. While the public internet is an option, over time enterprises need more reliability and security. There’s a new way for enterprises to connect their hybrid environments. It includes leveraging the ecosystem of the data center infrastructure and network providers for direct cloud connectivity. This approach provides a dedicated, secure connection to workloads in public cloud.

Watch Craig as he provides an overview of SPI and discusses the benefits of this new way for enterprises to connect.
