At Cyxtera, we’re known for making data centers smarter and more agile. We’re a top-three market leader in colocation and interconnection, providing services to more than 2,300 leading enterprises and US federal government agencies from our holdings of 60-plus global data centers. We strive each and every day to be more than just a set of numbers to our partners, and we think it comes across in every one of our partner interactions.

Big enough to trust, small enough to care

Growing our roster of partners isn’t just a matter of checking a box — we are deliberate in whom we choose to work with. Some companies might view their partner community as the equivalent of a grocery list, making sure they have partners that specialize in __ or ___. We take our partnerships a step higher and seek out companies with which we can be successful and develop a synergistic relationship. Developing a partnership is more than just a transaction to us — it’s building a customer for life.

We’re heavily invested in our partners’ success and that means every partner gets individual attention and programs tailored to their specific wants and needs. We tout the fact that partnerships are central to our go-to-market strategy, and we put our money where our mouth is. It’s one thing to say you want to set your partners up for success but with Cyxtera, there’s a bespoke level of service that you can’t find just anywhere.

Regardless of whether a partner chooses to sell our services or is simply looking for a company to whom they can refer clients, we believe in setting everyone up for future success. We understand that partners want to drive revenue, but more than that they want to be involved in the decision-making process and so it’s no surprise that we treat each partner as a valued member of our overall sales ecosystem.

To market, to market

From the moment a partner signs with us, they’re part of the Cyxtera family. We provide a deep dive into the technology we offer and go a step further, drilling down into the solutions that are needed in the current business environment, where OpEx is king and future-proofing is a must and not just a nice-to-have.

Whereas the pandemic certainly accelerated the shift to OpEx, as companies moved people and IT hardware out of office buildings, we were prepared. We had already seen the changes happening, and, therefore, were able to continue offering the same level of flexibility we always had. We’ve always prided ourselves on our agility, but never has the importance of being nimble been more on display than over the past 18 months as we were able to open up business opportunities for our channel partners and work with them to develop creative out-of-the-box solutions to help them (and their customers) weather the storm.
