Over 13,000 tech entrepreneurs and business leaders descended on Miami last week for eMerge Americas June 12-13. From the hackathon, to the startup competition, to world-class keynotes from some of today’s best-known innovators and leaders in technology, fresh ideas and innovation were everywhere you looked.
For Cyxtera though, eMerge is more than a conference. It was founded by our CEO, Manny Medina four years ago and has helped establish Miami as the top city in the U.S. for new startup activity. And this year, we couldn’t have picked a more appropriate event to launch our Miami-headquartered company, Cyxtera, and share our vision for delivering secure infrastructure built for today’s IT.
In his keynote on Tuesday Manny unveiled Cyxtera on the eMerge main stage. Our “giant startup,” as Manny called it, combines a worldwide footprint of best-in-class data centers with a portfolio of modern, cloud- and hybrid-ready security and analytics offerings – providing services to more than 3,500 customers. Manny then sat down with Melissa Lee from CNBC and Justin Bateman from BC Partners to discuss why we believe we are at the forefront of a massive opportunity.
It was important to us to have a formidable presence on the expo floor at eMerge for this launch and a 30x30 booth ensured we were visible from every angle on the floor. With a 110” digital branding wall, 4 branded demo kiosks, and a 70” screen booth theater we were able to interact with attendees who wanted to learn more about Cyxtera’s launch. Over the two days close to 600 attendees listened to 15-minute presentations in our booth theater from experts on security, fraud, analytics and data center services.
Our keynotes, booth presence, and meetings with customers, partners and investors helped ensure the Cyxtera launch at eMerge was a huge success. A big thank you to the eMerge and Cyxtera teams for making it possible. We’ll see you next year In April at eMerge Americas 2018!
