Enterprise Bare Metal, Marketplace in Data Centers

CXD On-demand Compute now offers HPE ProLiant servers and Nutanix HCI nodes.

Enterprises are turning more and more to bare metal servers to address a wide-range of compute-intensive and latency-sensitive enterprise applications. Cyxtera’s new On-demand Compute offering provides a cost-effective consumption-based destination for these applications that typically run in legacy on-premises data centers or are a poor fit for public cloud economics and multi-tenancy environments.

By avoiding large design to peak capital outlays and complicated hardware leases, CXD Bare Metal can lower dedicated infrastructure costs 25-50%. According to Randy Rowland, President of Data Center Services at Cyxtera:

“Cyxtera’s newest on-demand compute option empowers customers to break the traditional bulk deployment of colocation and provision dedicated bare metal servers at the rack level on a per node basis. Customers retain complete control of the environment to customize HCI or hypervisor configurations and get the high degree of security their enterprise applications require.”

Dedicated to providing flexible solutions for our customers, Cyxtera offers a variety of CXD Compute Node configurations to meet a diverse range of workload compute, memory and storage needs.
