FiberLight Now Available in Select Cyxtera Data Centers

The Cyxtera data center ecosystem portfolio has grown significantly over the past 12 months. Our expansion efforts now include over 300 MW of total global capacity with 60 global data centers distributed at the edge of strategic markets. Customers can consume local traditional data center services, HCI through Nutanix, and HPE bare metals as a service leveraging CXD, Cyxtera’s on-demand data center platform. Cyxtera data centers are home to 600 network points of presence across our global footprint. Giving customers of choice among our highly dense, diverse network services ecosystem to deliver the resiliency and diversity their mission critical workloads require.

FiberLight Data Center Interconnect is a new design enhancement available for consumption at Cyxtera campus locations including Atlanta, Dallas and Virginia. It is a native Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) system designed to deliver resilient metro services capable of linking Cyxtera data centers with other on-net facilities in the metropolitan area.

These network services offer diverse paths from other Cyxtera ecosystem providers that can be used to build fault tolerant metro routes. In the event a data center customer needs dark fiber as well as additional capacity to a local or national internet exchange (IX), Fiberlight has multiple path route options.
