Hybrid IT, Federal, Channel Partners in Data Centers

The pandemic has not only accelerated the public and private sectors’ digital transformation, it also forced IT professionals to rethink which workloads truly belong in public cloud environments. With the recent imperative from President Biden to government agencies to modernize their cybersecurity, the impetus to move workloads to a secure cloud is even greater.

The pandemic also brought with it increased economic uncertainty, meaning that workload migration must be accomplished within tight budgets. For these reasons, federal agencies are seeking greater cost transparency and predictability than presently offered by public cloud billing models..

Partnerships are more than just a checkbox

Earlier this year, Cyxtera extended its Global Partner Program to the federal market, in part as a way to demonstrate our deep commitment to giving our government-focused partners the same benefits we offer our global channel program. The Global Federal Partner Program was designed with our federal partners in mind and allows us to work hand-in-glove with them to help them solve the critical IT challenges being faced by government agencies.

Our partner-first outlook means we don’t directly sell our services in the government arena — we want to support our partners rather than compete with them. What the program does offer is access to competitive reseller pricing, and robust, industry-leading incentives and flexibility with scalable access to multiple levels of benefits and support, including marketing content that targets such areas as digital transformation, cloud-smart, managing increased data demands, and connectivity strategies.

Security is job #1

Security is always of utmost importance when dealing with highlighly sensitive data. Accordingly, the Cyxtera Platform: Government Edition, a purpose-built on-demand interconnection and infrastructure platform that provides the security and control of colocation environments with cloud-like elasticity and scalability, has been designated as FedRAMP Ready at the High Impact Level. It combines the control, cost-savings, and security of dedicated colocation infrastructure with the provisioning speed, financial advantages, and agility of cloud and allows government entities to both fulfill the federal Cloud Smart policy mandate while modernizing their IT infrastructure.

By layering their services on top of the Cyxtera Platform: Government Edition, partners are able to deliver greater value over time as their customers pursue on-demand infrastructure and interconnectivity with the assurance that comes with a platform that meets the highest level of security.
