Enterprise Bare Metal, Colocation in Data Centers

Cyxtera has added Fujitsu’s PRIMERGY servers with Nutanix Enterprise Cloud to the CXD on-demand data center platform. Initially offered in Cyxtera’s UK data centers, the solution will enable IT teams to easily adapt their infrastructure to meet their business needs without impacting current resourcing or staffing levels. Cyxtera’s latest addition to the catalog of CXD on-demand services helps lower the cost of ownership (TCO) for hyperconverged infrastructure by an estimated 25-50% while enabling capacity to be added on a pay-as-you-grow consumption model.

Fujitsu PRIMERGY systems are designed to deliver more compute and storage capacity, high performance, right-sized options with flexible choices, and provide lower energy consumption to lower the costs of IT service. Providing PRIMERGY on the CXD platform provides enterprise customers an alternative that addresses cloud-first initiatives. Customers will have direct access into private Nutanix on PRIMERGY nodes located in Cyxtera’s data center and provisioned via the CXD on-demand platform.

Fujitsu’s offering of Nutanix Enterprise Cloud on PRIMERGY enables their customers and partners IT teams to seamlessly manage applications, resources, and IT infrastructure directly from their own command and control panels.

Cyxtera’s CXD on-demand platform continues to deliver speed and efficiency with point and click provisioning of data center services, software-programmable network allowing customers to extend private networks within and across data centers, and reduce complexity by delivering multiple services over a single physical network connection.

Fujitsu PRIMERGY and Nutanix on CXD will initially be launched at Cyxtera’s UK data centers with plans to expand to the Amsterdam and Frankfurt campuses in Q1 2020.
